Mit ihrer Musik gehen sie eigene Wege und erschaffen eine einzigartige Klangwelt voller Lebensfreude und Atmosphäre. Mit ihrem mitreißendes Spiel zeichnen sie klingende Bilder und entreißen ihr Publikum mühelos dem Alltag. Im März 2024 veröffentlichten Regina Kunkel (Nyckelharpa) und Björn Kaidel (Nyckelharpa, Gitarre, Cittern) ihr zweites Album "Im Verborgenen". Mit diesem widmen sie sich den kleinen Dingen, deren Bedeutsamkeit häufig verborgen bleibt. Das Album wurde für den Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik nominiert und wurde vom belgischen Magazin "Le Canard Folk" zu einer der CDs des Monats April 2024 gekürt. Das Duo spielt seit vielen Jahren national und international, mit Auftritten bei Festivals wie u.a. Merode Festival (BE), Castlefest (NL), Boglart (HU), Vertanzt (CH), Dafodil (BE) und viele mehr.

Akleja musically explores what is close to their hearts -nature, relationships and touching moments. They play instrumental folk music on nyckelharpa, guitar and cittern and are particularly influenced by dance music tunes, that lie dormant in old music books and want to be brought back to life, as well as the musical tradition of Sweden, the home country of the nyckelharpa. They go their own way with their music and create a unique sound world fullof joy and atmosphere. With their captivating playing and their fine arrangements, they paint musical pictures and effortlessly take their audience away from everyday life. In March 2024, Regina Kunkel (nyckelharpa) and Björn Kaidel (nyckelharpa, guitar, cittern) released their second album "Im Verborgenen". With this album, they dedicate themselves to the little things whose significance often remains hidden. The album was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award and was named one of the CDs of the month for April 2024 by Belgian magazine "Le Canard Folk". The duo has been performing nationally and internationally for many years, appearing at festivals such as Merode Festival (BE), Castlefest (NL), Boglart (HU), Vertanzt (CH), Dafodil (BE) and many more.
